Alicia’s Story

Alicia Lawrence’s journey through the Baltimore Alliance for Careers in Healthcare (BACH) is a shining example of what determination, integrity, and intentional growth can produce. As a BACH Fellow, BACH Fellow Ambassador, Coppin State University student, and now a participant in the BACH CNA-I Training Program, Alicia has continuously proven that leadership is not just a title – it is a lifestyle marked by character, drive, and an unwavering commitment to becoming her best self.

From the moment she joined the BACH Fellows program, Alicia distinguished herself through her willingness to learn, her openness to mentorship, and her proactive approach to utilizing every available resource. She does not wait for opportunity – she prepares for it, reaches for it, and makes the most of it. That mindset has earned her the respect of peers, mentors, and healthcare partners across the BACH network.

In celebration of BACH’s 20th Anniversary, Alicia was selected as a featured speaker, standing before a room of leaders, employers, alumni, and supporters to tell her story of resilience, discovery, and intentional growth. Her words reflected not only her personal evolution but also the ripple effect of BACH’s vision of changing lives, elevating futures, and empowering individuals to thrive in healthcare careers. Alicia exemplifies exactly what this work is all about.

Yet Alicia’s story does not end here. Her journey is still unfolding, and her goals continue to expand. As she advances through the BACH CNA-I training and pursues her degree at Coppin, Alicia is actively seeking opportunities within the healthcare industry that will strengthen her skills, deepen her experience, and support her development as a compassionate and competent healthcare professional, now and in the years to come.

Alicia Lawrence is not just a graduate, not just a participant… she is a testament to what happens when dedication meets opportunity. And she is undoubtedly a BACH success story – a success story still being written
