Jean’s Story

Integrating into the Medical Setting through Apprenticeship

Jean Bosco Etahe Limongo completed his apprenticeship as a Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Technician at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC). He found it to be an ideal way to integrate into the medical setting.

“It was a great experience,” says Jean, particularly commending the experienced UMMC educators who facilitated and enhanced his program with workshops and professional practices in the different CSP departments. The rich interpersonal exchange throughout his apprenticeship fueled his rapid growth as a CSP tech.

Congratulations to Jean and the 80+ BACH participants who have gone through apprenticeship programs for Central Sterile Processing Technician, Environmental Care Supervisor, Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Assistant, and Surgical Technologist.
